I recently celebrated a major milestone in my life. For the first time, all of my little children are in school. I have been hustling for a long time to be a single-work-at-home-mom so that I could be with them through their young years. I have had an enormous amount of help from my family to do this. I’ve made it through the infancy and toddler years. I saw every first step and heard every first word. I was even able to homeschool them a bit.
Now that they are all old enough to be in school, I have come back to dust off this old facebook page and blog that I began way back in 2012. I created this page on Thanksgiving Day of 2012 because I always want to remember to be thankful for all of the past challenges that I came through.
I want to be an encouragement to others along their journey as I go on my own journey. This is only the beginning and I am thankful to so many people who have helped me to get to where I am so far. I’m so grateful to friends, to family, and even to complete strangers. There’s a lot of good in the world if you will just take the time to notice it, even in the darkest circumstances.
I’m now able to dedicate more time toward working as a self-employed writer and becoming more financially stable. I’m continually learning about myself to discover the work that I am most passionate about. I’m a work in progress and I aim to enjoy the journey. Life is too short to not give it your all. If I can do it so can anyone else who has enough gumption.
Tremendously inspired by the late Scott Dinsmore, I seek to change the world by doing work I love. #livingmylegend
